Volleyball Earns Third Seed in MASCAC Tournament

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University has earned the third seed in this week's Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball Championship Tournament. 

Volleyball finished the regular season 12-15 overall and 4-3 in MASCAC action. The Rams finished tied at 4-3 with MCLA and Worcester State and by virtue of the league's tiebreaker policy the Rams are the third seed. As the third seed the Rams will host sixth seed Massachusetts Maritime Academy on Tuesday in an opening round game at Logan Gymnasium at 7:30 p.m.  

Fourth seed MCLA will host fifth seed Worcester State on Tuesday in the other opening round match up.  The winner of the two opening round matches will advance to the semifinals on Thursday hosted by top seed Westfield State and second seed Bridgewater State. The tournament will conclude on Saturday with the winners of the two semifinals meeting at the highest remaining seed. The winner of the finals receives the MASCAC's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Volleyball Championship.
