Women's Cross Country Chosen to Third in 2024 MASCAC Preseason Poll
Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's cross country team has been slated to finish third in the 2024 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Cross Country Preseason Poll in voting conducted by the league's coaches.
The Rams landed tied for third in the poll with Fitchburg State as each team received 14 total points. Returning for the Rams is sophomore Kate Buban who was the 2023 MASCAC Rookie of the Year. Buban earned All-MASCAC honors after finishing eighth at the 2023 MASCAC Championships with a time of 20:46.
Westfield State claimed the top spot with 24 points and four first place votes, while Bridgewater State took second with the remaining two first place votes and 22 points. Worcester State finished fifth with 11 points and Massachusetts Maritime claimed sixth with five points.
The Rams open the season on August 31st at the Keene State.
