Johnston Finishes First as Women's Cross Country Places First at MMA Travis Fuller XC Invitational

Buzzards Bay, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's cross country team places first with Meghan Johnston finishing first as the Rams competed at the Mass. Maritime Travis Fuller Invitational this morning.  

THE BASICS:

- Location: Mass. Maritime Buzzards Bay, Mass. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Rams finished first with 23 total points and saw six runners crossing the line in the top ten. Johnson and Wales came in second place with 37 points. 

  • Johston led the way with her first place finish as she completed the 5K course along the canal with a time of 20:06. 

  • Johnston's teammate Kate Buban claimed the second spot as she finished at 20:23, while Natalie Grimaldo followed not far behind in fourth at 21:06. 

  • Grace Avery was the next Ram to cross the finish line in seventh at 21:42 and Camille Graffeo (22:19) and Justine Quinanola (22:23) rounded out the top tenth in ninth and tenth respectively.
