Men’s Basketball Rallies for 77-75 Victory over JWU in Season Opener

Providence, RI - The Framingham State University men's basketball team tallied the game's final seven points as the Rams erased a five point deficit with 23 seconds remaining to secure a 77-75 victory over Johnson & Wales in non-conference action tonight at the Wildcat Center.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams, who led by double digits at the half, trailed 75-70 after a Wildcat made a free throw with 23 seconds on the clock. 

  • On the next possession, Joshua Saint Jean converted a three-point play, closing the gap to two. The Rams forced a turnover, and Lorenzo Washington sank a layup with 11 seconds on the clock. 

  • After another Wildcat turnover, Saint Jean collected an offensive rebound and nailed a put back putting the Rams on top with one second on the clock. Saint Jean was fouled, missed the free throw, and the time expired. 

  • Saint Jean paced the Rams with a team-best 27 points and 15 rebounds. Saint Jean connected on 11-of-16 from the floor and added a steal. 

  • Fallou Koite finished the game with 12 points and five rebounds, while Washington and Dyree Rogers finished with eight points apiece.
