Softball Shuts out Farmingdale State to Close Southern Swing

Clermont, Fla. - The Framingham State University softball team closed their southern trip this afternoon with a 6-0 victory over Farmingdale State in non-conference action at the Spring Games.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

Farmingdale-FSU 

  • After two scoreless innings, the Rams got on the board with three runs in the bottom of the third. Amanda Roche and Ava Gray plated runs on sacrifice flies, and Jocelyn Pepe reached on an error plating the third. 

  • The Rams added to the lead with a single run in the fourth on an Ellie Etemad-Gilbertson sacrifice fly and two in the fifth on a two run home run from Roche. 

  • Audrey Gauthier earned the victory going seven shutout innings, allowing just two hits with four strikeouts and three walks.

The Rams are back in action Friday when they face Trinity and Farmingdale State at the Spring Games.
