Westfield, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's basketball team opened league play this evening and were defeated 79-72 by Westfield State University in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at the Woodward Center.

The Rams were paced by a game-high 33 points from Katherine Haselton. Haselton connected on 9-of-19 from the floor including 4-of-8 from behind the arc, while also going a perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line. Haselton added 10 rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block.

Jacqueline Schels was the only other Ram to record double figures as she tallied 10 points with six rebounds and two steals.

Faith Greene finished the night with eight points and seven boards, while Michelle Moreno and Chloe Rayko chipped in with six points apiece.
