Plymouth State Defeats Women’s Lacrosse 21-7

Framingham, Mass. — Behind five goals from sophomore Jenn Foley (Tewksbury, Mass.) the Plymouth State University women’s lacrosse team cruised to a 21-7 non-conference win today over the Framingham State Rams at Maple Street Field. With the win, the Panthers improve to 6-4 on the year, while the loss drops the Rams to 5-5.

Foley picked up seven points in the game with her five goals and two assists, while Kalie Judd (Peabody, Mass.) and Kathryn Rogers (Wolfeboro, N.H.) each picked up six points with three goals and three assists.  Brianna Davis (Framingham, Mass.) also chipped in three goals to go along with two assists, while Kerry D’Ambroise (Lowell, Mass.)  scored three goals.

The Rams were paced by sophomore Kerry Kiley (Mansfield, Mass.) who picked up three goals, while Stephanie Corrales (Framingham, Mass.) and Chelsea Temple (Rutland, VT) added a goal and an assist each.

Leading 6-3 midway through the first half, the Panthers scored seven unanswered goals to close the first half and take a commanding 12-3 lead at the break.  PSU extended their lead to as many a fourteen goals in the second half as they outshot the Rams 32-23 in the game.

The Rams return to action on Saturday as they travel to Castleton State at 6 p.m., while the Panthers face Western Connecticut also on Saturday at noon.
