Murphy's Late Goal Forces Overtime; Women's Ice Hockey Falls in Shootout to Albertus
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Alana Laser scored the only goal in the shootout as Albertus Magnus defeated Framingham State 2-2 (SO) in non-conference action Saturday evening at Loring Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- First Period: Laser opened the scoring at 10:03 with an even-strength goal, assisted by Kayla Clark. The Rams answered late in the period when Molly Murphy scored on the power play at 11:50, assisted by Sarah Lewis and Lily Wilson, to knot the game at 1-1 heading into intermission.
- Second Period: Both teams battled through a scoreless middle frame despite each side having multiple power-play opportunities. The defenses tightened as Framingham State managed just seven shots on goal.
- Third Period: Laser gave Albertus Magnus a 2-1 lead with a power-play goal at 6:29. The Rams pulled even with 1:02 remaining in regulation when Murphy scored her second goal of the game, assisted by Alyssa Tansek and Wilson, to force overtime.
- Overtime: Neither team could break through in the five-minute overtime period despite Framingham State getting a lengthy power play after Clark was assessed a five-minute major for cross-checking.
- Shootout: Laser converted in the first round, and Jess Trocchio stopped all three Framingham State attempts to secure the victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Brigid Milligan: Made 32 saves through overtime and regulation in a strong performance.
- Alana Laser: Scored both goals for Albertus Magnus, including the shootout winner.

- Team Stats: Albertus Magnus outshot Framingham State 34-23. The Rams went 1-for-6 on the power play, while the Falcons converted 1-of-3 opportunities.
