Women's Lacrosse Sails Past Mass. Maritime 20-3

Buzzards Bay, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team jumped out to an 8-2 lead after one quarter as they cruised to a 20-3 victory over Mass. Maritime in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Clean Harbors Stadium.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams received six goals, a ground ball and four draw controls from Leah Green, while Maggie Grout tallied four goals and picked up three assists to go along with five ground balls. 

  • Madeiline Bosma finished the game with four goals on four shots, while Hailey Baker scored twice and dished out five assists.  

  • Alessia Lye added five assists, while Emma Kendzulak added a pair of goals. 

  • Mass. Maritime got of the board first just three minutes into the game, but the Rams rattled off the next seven goals of the game including three from Grout to open up a 7-1 lead. Mass. Maritime received a free position shot and Baker converted a free position shot for the Rams in the closing minutes to give the Rams an 8-2 lead after one. 

  • The Rams held the Bucs scoreless in the second as they extended the lead to 14-2.
