Third Seed Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Top Seed Worcester State 13-11 in MASCAC Championship

Worcester, Mass. - The third seeded Framingham State University women's lacrosse team saw their season end with a 13-11 loss to top seed Worcester in the finals of the 2025 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women's lacrosse tournament at Coughlin Field.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Lancers outshot the Rams 36-25 in the game and held a 24-14 edge in ground balls. 

  • The Lancers got on the board first, but goals from Grout and Baker put the Rams on top 2-1 five minutes into the game.  

  • The two teams traded goals, and the Rams led 3-2 midway through the quarter. The Lancer used three straight goals taking the lead for good in the game.  

  • A tally from Green sends the Rams to the second trailing 5-5. 

  • Both teams tallied three goals in the second period and the Lancers led 8-7 at the half. 

  • The Lancers opened the third with three unanswered goals, before the Rams closed the quarter with three of their own to trail 11-10 heading into the fourth. 

  • Worcester pushed the advantage to 13-10 with 5:02 on the clock. Green converted a free position shot for the Rams with just over two minutes to account for the final goal of the game.
