Volleyball Falls 3-0 to Bridgewater State in MASCAC Opener

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University volleyball team fell 3-0 to Bridgewater State in a closely contested contest as both teams opened Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action this evening at Logan Gymnasium.

- Scores:  Bridgewater State 3, Framingham State 0 (25-18, 26-24, 25-18) 

- Records:  Framingham State (4-11, 0-1 MASCAC), Bridgewater State (5-6, 1-0 MASCAC)

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

• The Bears secured the MASCAC victory in three tightly contested sets by scores of 25-18, 26-24 and 25-18. 

• The Rams defensive effort was led by a team-high 15 defensive digs from Stella Bailey. Bailey added 19 set assists in the match. 

• Carly Beaulieu chipped in with 10 digs and four service aces, while Anneli DiVirgilio added six digs, two assists and four service aces. 

• Natalie Reynolds finished the match with 10 kills on 37 attempts to go along with two digs and an assist, while Emma Dobbins chipped in with six kills. 

• Madysen Cedrone added eight defensive digs, a kill and an ace and Sarah Medeiros added three kills and two digs.
