Volleyball Pulls Out Five Set Victory over MCLA

North Adams, Mass - The Framingham State University volleyball team dropped the third and fourth set forcing a deciding fifth game which they took in convincing fashion as the Rams defeated MCLA 3-2 this evening in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at the Amsler Gymnasium.

- Scores:  Framingham State 3, MCLA 2 (25-17, 25-22, 20-25, 14-25, 15-8) 

- Records: Framingham State (13-6, 4-1), MCLA (14-4, 4-1) 

- Location: Amsler Gymnasium North Adams, Mass 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams took the first two sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-22 before falling in two straight to the Trailblazers 25-20 and 25-14. The Rams jumped out to the lead and took the deciding set 15-8 to secure the victory. 

  • Natalie Reynolds and Sarah Medeiros paced the Rams on the attack. Reynolds connected 14 kills on 41 attempts, while Medeiros connected for 12 kills and four digs. 

  • Madysen Cedrone just missed a double double as she tallied 13 kills with nine digs and a block, while Emma Dobbins added nine kills and three blocks in the match.

The Rams are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Wheaton beginning at 1 p.m.
