Bailey Records 3000th Assist as Volleyball Falls to Gordon and Plymouth State

Framingham, Mass. - Senior setter Stella Bailey recorded her 3000thcareer assist today as the Framingham State University volleyball dropped a pair of matches today 3-2 to Gordon College 3-1 to Plymouth State in non-conference action at Logan Gym.   

THE BASICS: 

- Scores:  Gordon 3, Framingham State 2 (26-28, 23-25, 25-8, 25-20, 15-10) 
Plymouth State 3, Framingham State 1 (25-18, 19-25, 25-12, 25-6) 

- Records: Framingham State (14-10), Plymouth State (15-6), Gordon (16-7) 

- Location: Logan Gym Framingham, Mass.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • In their opening match of the day, the Rams took the first two sets by scores of 28-26 and 25-23. Gordon took the third set decisively by a score of 25-8 and went on to win the match, taking the final two frames 25-20 and 15-10. 

  • The Rams received 18 kills in the match from Natalie Reynolds who added two aces, a dig and a block, while Madysen Cedrone finished the game with 11 kills and three digs. 

  •  In the Rams second match of the day, they were defeated by the Panthers by scores of 25-18, 19-25, 25-12 and 25-6. 

  • Bailey, who is the Rams all-time career assist leader, recorded her 3000thassist during the second set and finished the match with 27 assists and 12 digs. 

  • Reynolds and Sarah Medeiros recorded eight kills apiece in the match, while Cedrone finished with seven. 

  • Santiago-Alers and DiVirgilio finished the second match with eight digs apiece, while DiVirgilio added three aces.
