Bio
Mark Piantedosi is in his fifth season as part of the Rams coaching staff. Prior to his arrival at FSU, Piantedosi spent the previous three seasons as the pitching coach at UMass Boston. Under his guidance from 2005-07, the Beacons made three appearances in the Little East Conference (LEC) Tournament. In 2006 Piantedosi's pitching staff, which included the 2006 LEC Pitcher of the Year, set a school record for lowest ERA (4.48) and in 2007 the team set a school record for wins in a season.
In addition to coaching baseball, Piantedosi has been an assistant boys' basketball coach at Waltham High School since 2004. He is a graduate of Waltham High School where he was a three sport athlete in football, basketball and baseball. Piantedosi played collegiate baseball for four years at Suffolk University where he was part of a Ram team that won the GNAC Tournament in 2002 and qualified for the NCAA Regional Tournament.
Since 2000, Piantedosi has been a player/coach for Gately Athletic of the Inter-City League. He graduated from Suffolk in 2005 with a degree in Media/Communications and currently resides in Waltham with his wife, Allison.
