St. Anselm Defeats Men's Ice Hockey 8-4 in High-Scoring Affair

MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE – St. Anselm overcame a slow start to defeat Framingham State 8-4 in a non-conference men's ice hockey game on Tuesday night at the Sullivan Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Framingham State struck first on a power-play goal by Cameron Craig at 2:44 of the first period, assisted by Jonas Oesterle and Michael Kennedy.
  • St. Anselm responded with two first-period goals, from Sebastian Rogles at 8:51 (assisted by Luke Linart) and Isac Martins at 14:03 (assisted by John Myers).
  • The Hawks exploded for five goals in the second period to take control of the game. Chris Cordeiro (1:48), Sean Connolly (6:26), Luke Linart (8:49 - power play, game-winning goal), Keaton Richards (13:17), and Brendan Manning (15:41) all found the net.
  • Framingham State's Jerry Duckett scored at 4:56 of the third period, assisted by Devin Shepherd and Jake Barcelou.
  • Martins added his second goal of the game at 11:21, assisted by Nolan King, extending St. Anselm's lead to 8-2.
  • Framingham State scored two late power-play goals in the final minute: Jake Barcelou at 19:31.9 (assisted by Scott Bugarin and Brent Scott) and Duckett's second goal at 19:55.8 (assisted by Barcelou and Scott).
